Picasso is arguably one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the 20th century. He produce an amazing amount of work throughout his 91 years of life. Pablo Picasso’s body of work went through 5-6 different eras and could appear to some as being done by different artists. This to Picasso was his dedication to expressing things the way he believed it should be throughout his career. Critics see it as Picasso reinventing himself many times but he summarized it as such, “Different themes inevitably require different methods of expression.”
We know that Picasso was quite the womanizer and married twice. Picasso’s life is nothing short of inspiring, dedicated and driven to mastering his craft and undoubtedly leaving his mark for generations to come. Late in his life he superstitiously believed that continuing to paint and work would keep him alive. This would be the end of his physical body of work but his legacy will continue.
